A Sponsor's Role

I've done a few posts on me as an upline, how I chose my own upline and what you should look for in an upline but today I thought I would share a handful of things that a sponsor should keep in mind when supporting their downline.

Most importantly, you must stay present in your downline's journey. Try to have at least weekly contact. At the start this will probably be a little more but after the first few months, you've still got to reach out and make the effort. Now that could be with a brief message to check in but also team training's for topics. Preferably, this is weekly but it doesn't have to be. At least monthly, at the very least. As I've mentioned, this training can be delegated to other team members if they have some value to deliver.

As a sponsor you are there to not do everything for your downline but provide guidance. Add them to all of the important groups that you find useful and like. If they don't like them, they can always leave. Provide them with how to's on how to use resources, including but not limited to the back office and website. Make sure that they are utilising these resources provided specifically for distributors. If they ask something that is outright said in the back office, don't tell them the answer right away but provide them with a little information so they know where to look.

Make sure they run things past you. Importantly, the Facebook page and group needs to be set up before the company launches. Once everything is ready, then help them with their launch party. Remember, the more successful they are, the more successful you will be.

Ensure they read and research the products thoroughly so they can be confident and answer questions that their customer base might ask. For example, the solution line is more expensive but it fixes a problem! Don't let people buy it unless they suffer with the issue because that means they won't see results and won't come back as they don't believe in your company's products.

Finally, your most important role as an upline is to provide motivational and inspirational posts to bring out the best in your team. Don't speak negatively about the opportunity and business because that will breed negativity. Use the negatives to your advantage. For example, if a product is out of stock, learn about another and promote that instead. Luckily, we are no longer in an out of stock stage but this is what I had to do.

I hope that helps inspire some of you upline's out there. If you want to join my team, I will defintely be doing all these things to help you out! As always, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out and contact me via any of my social media outlets. If you want to order your own product, message me today!
