What's in MakeSense Advanced Anti-Ageing Foundation?

As with all out products, the ingredients are in for a reason. With the Advanced Anti-Ageing MakeSense Foundation, the main goal is for anti-ageing and so many ingredients are in for that reason. 

SenePlex Complex: kinetic enzyme that increases cellular renewal.

Carrageenan : thickens and stabilises allowing product to be absorbed into the skin quickly.

Sodium Chloride: natural sea-salt used as a binding agent.

Aribidopsis Extract: helps repair damaged skin DNA.

Lecithin: protects cells from oxidation and replenishes and repairs skin with its essential fatty acid content.

Thiotaine (Ergothioneine): protects the skin from oxidative and DNA damage and helps us use oxygen more efficiently to produce more energy.

Lycium Chinese Fruit Extract, (Goji Berry): a bright red berry prized for its high levels of certain phytonutrients to help prevent or treat health conditions caused by oxidation.

Vassinum Angustifolium (Blueberry) Fruit Extract: astringent and moisturizing properties plus it is used as a skin conditioner.

Vaccinum Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Fruit Extract: rich in flavonoids, citric acid and vitamin C; it is an antioxidant, purifies and has antibacterial properties, so is a great natural treatment of acne.

Titanium Dioxide: an inert earth mineral used as a thickening ingredient and sunscreen as it protects skin from UV-A and UV-B radiation.

Glycerin: a solvent, an emollient and humectant that helps keep moisture in the product and helps it spread better across a surface, reducing drag and pull; it is non-toxic, non-irritating and non-allergenic to the skin.

Sodium Hyaluronate: a key water-maintaining substance in human skin which adds moisture and helps with water content regulating.

Isobutylmethacrylate/Bis-Hydroxypropyl Dimethicone Acrylate Copolymer: a film former that exhibits outstanding adhesion, water resistance and colour retention properties.

Polymethylsilsesquioxane: a silicone ingredient used most often as a film former that creates a lubricating, smooth, silky feel and increases the skins ability to repel water.

Orchis Mascula (Orchid) Flower Extract: used as a preparation of emollient products; a powerful anti-oxidant which provides free-radical protection and maximum moisturisation.

Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Extract: acts as a moisturiser and emollient agent to improve the skin elasticity and suppleness.

Spirulina Maxima Extract: hydrating, skin-conditioning and toning agent.

Arnica Montana Flower Extract: a fungicide and an immune-stimulant; provides a layer of warmth and helps to soothe tired and tight muscles.

Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract: boosts the immune function of skin cells and protects them against the damaging effects of the sun.

Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A): increases skin elasticity and thickening of the epidermis and the dermis; speeds up exfoliation to reveal younger, plumper skin cells, helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and skin irregularities.

Yeast Extract: a dietary source of folic acid which aids in the formation of new healthy tissues and promotes new cell formation.

Panthenol (Vitamin B): essential for formation of new healthy tissues.

Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (Vitamin C): helps increase collagen production and diminish wrinkles.

Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E): maintains the activities of enzymes in the cells and for the formation of red blood cells; an anti-oxidant that inhibit skin cancer and aids in the healing of skin ailments.

Disteardimonium Hectorite: an organically modified magnesium silicate and a natural mineral.

Magnesium PCA: maintains a healthy epidermis.

Copper PCA: a synthetic skin-conditioning agent composed of the copper salt of PCA.

Zinc PCA: moisturises the skin and regulates the skin’s sebum production, thereby controlling excess oil production.

Sodium Benzoate: soluble food grade preservative.

Potassium Sorbate: soluble food grade preservative.

Phenoxyethanol: an oily liquid used as a bactericide and topical antiseptic.
